My wife and I were at this concert as guests of Mike Peters. A true gent from my home town. He knew we were huge Big Country fans and to cap off a great concert he got us backstage to meet the band. Eternally grateful. RIP Stuart 🎸

I was at this concert, 17 years of age absolutely loved them

'Through A Big Country' (1990) is a brilliant compilation album of all their greatest hits. There is not one single duff track on it, just pure quality and listening pleasure all the way through. What more can you ask for? I have that timeless album at home on CD, Cassette, LP, VHS and 1997 reissue CD. Great stirring stuff.

Does anyone know what brand of tele that yellow one with the black pick guard that Stuart is playing is? He always sounds extra sensational when he uses that guitar. It rocks!

Enjoyed that very much. Thank you for posting that BC1000Stars. Loved BC; left their mark on me and others for ever. Went through a few years ago with my dad to Pittencrief Park in Dunfermline and saw the memorial bench that had been placed there to remember Stuart. When its my time to fall off the mortal coil, as it where, I want on my gravestone; "some days will stay a thousand years, some pass like the flash of a spark, who knows where all our days go". Thank you Mr. William Stuart Adamson, Bruce, Tony and Mark for shaping my teenage years. You've left your mark on me forever and for that, I thank you. Stay alive!!

Only saw Big Country Once in the Flesh at Wolverhampton 2000, just in Time? One of my Very Favourite Bands along with U2, The Alarm, INXS and Simple Minds

Saw them at St George’s Hall Bradford back in the day easily the best concert I’ve ever been to like listening to a vinyl or CD the technique and musicianship was that brilliant ...and I’ve seen Fleetwood Mac ( the classic lineup) The Who U2 Simple Minds Springsteen pink Floyd Queen REM

Saw them on the orginal Steeltown tour at Hammersmith and earlier this week in the O2 on the 'Return to Steeltown Tour'. We all miss Stuart hugely, but great to see Bruce and Mark and the others and hear the complete album (with Winter Sky replacing Girl with Grey Eyes) and a Restless Natives encore. How many other bands have complete albums being performed 40 years on? Stay Alive everyone. With huge thanks to Andy for this wonderful archive❤
